Gyming
The first week after you start going to gym is undoubtedly the toughest. Not just because it adds pinch of regularity to otherwise haphazard life of a software engineer, but your body makes every effort to reject this change through muscle ache in all four limbs! [ Any attempt of complaining, is met my contemptuous eyes of gym instructor quoting "no pain, no gain" ].
Couple of weeks later, if you still persist, things improve considerably. While the time span is too short for any visual impact, you can sense your energy levels rising!
Having started (and quit!) workout 3-4 times, this effect is no new to me. I am surprisingly good at lasting the initial grind, only to abandon my quest after a month or two with the pretext of some (lame) excuse.
For computer-bunnies and couch-potatoes like me, I think it is wiser to be more proactive than to wait for horizontal growth or something more sinister like RIS to hit!
So, I have embarked on the journey again from this week. Unlike all interesting journeys in novels, this path is well known. Laziness delineates the path enticing the sojourner no matter how far he has walked. Let us see how long I travel this time :-).
